Funerals

Preparing for a funeral

Everyone experiences the loss of a loved one in different ways, and in some cases, as prepared as you think you are, shock and grief are likely to be experienced.

It is advisable to contact the Parish as soon as you can after the death so that a time can be arranged for the funeral as well as making decisions about the funeral liturgy.

The Parish can help you prepare the funeral for your loved one; including choosing hymns, readings and guiding you through the format.

Please complete the funeral advice form to initiate the organisation of a funeral.

St Anthony’s Columbarium

The Parish has built a beautiful columbarium, in the grounds of St Anthony’s Church, for those Catholics who prefer to be cremated.  The cremated remains are interred in the columbarium, with a memorial plaque, providing a place of peace and remembrance for friends and relatives to visit.

For more information about the columbarium, please contact the Parish Office.
